How a $1.9-billion plan for ippi payments works in the wild
The Canadian Wildlife Federation has been warning for months about a massive $1-billion, six-year plan to fund an electronic payment system for the endangered southern white rhino, which is threatened by poaching.
The plan calls for the introduction of electronic payments to all captive wildlife in the Canadian Rockies.
“We are very concerned,” said Ian Campbell, president of the conservation group.
“They are really starting to worry that they will be left without a reliable, reliable way to pay.”
